The “Women in Business: Invest for the Future” (WiBIF) NGO was established in 2011, by women leaders representing various business sectors of Armenia. WIBIF is managed by a Board consisting of sixteen Founding Members having extensive expertise and experience in various business areas, including tourism, consulting, art, culture, industry, telecommunications, Public Relations, Information Technologies, non-profit management, healthcare and public administration, etc. The mission of WIBIF is to support the establishment, promotion and development of women-owned businesses in Armenia, as well as to assist women who own or manage businesses to expand their activities in Armenia and abroad. WIBIF’s objectives are: + Promotion of business development through provision of education, training, and consultancy; + Promotion of business development through integration to international markets; + Support to ongoing business development through investment of new and effective educational programs and technologies; + Support to improvement of legislative field for a better business environment; + Establishment of networks for business development; + Protection and advocacy of rights and interests of women owned or led businesses in Armenia. Since its creation, WIBIF has substantially contributed to the development of a better business environment in Armenia – numerous women in Yerevan and the Armenian regions have received professional training for a start-up and expansion of their businesses.
